Vermont Stowe Mountain Resort Ski Lodge
Stowe Mountain Lodge – Destination Hotels & Resorts
Stowe Mountain Resort in Vermont is the birthplace of New England skiing, the ski Mecca of the east. Skiing in North America was literally born there. It’s one of the best places to get the full New England ski experience: a combination of spectacular views and challenging ski trails.
What makes this resort so great is that the trails are never too packed, the lodge is clean and brand new, the snow is always good and everyone is chill. Plus the Stowe mountain resort is right on Vermont’s highest mountain, Mount Mansfield.
The Stowe resort and town are quiet and comfortable and feature upscale services including fitness centers, spas, five star dining and much more. Spruce Mountain’s green and blues are great to enjoy the view. Stowe is a family friendly place with children’s programs and a mascot named Snowball who entertains the kids on crowded days.
The seemingly endless ski runs are great for cruising or good for practicing your carving. The Gondola takes you to the top quickly, which is great on cold days. The crowds know ski etiquette for the most part. The instructors are amazing, friendly and really professional.
The most highly rated attraction is Mount Mansfield itself, as it has the best downhill ski terrain in Vermont. There are many terrains available, from super steep double blacks to amazing blue squares. The main four ski runs (Goat, Starr, Liftline and National) are extremely challenging, which pretty much set the tone of this hill. The mountain skiing events are very fun to watch and be part of.
Lunch at the Stowe grill cafe over on the Spruce side offers upscale dining options, like bruschetta, risotto, and cheese pie. The Cliffhouse restaurant with fine dining at the top of the gondola is extremely popular and reminiscent of the level of the top European ski resorts. The people are dedicated, hardworking, and care a great deal about the satisfaction of their clientele.
The best thing about Stowe is its uniqueness, history, and secret woods trails including one down to the Matterhorn. Stowe is a great place for a day trip or a week of skiing and if you go in mid winter you are going to have a powder day at least three days out of the week. This resort has something for every skill level, from the simple lower spruce peak, to the challenging steep front four.
The Stowe mountain resort hotel is brand new and has everything you could want. From spacious hotel rooms to your own private redwood bungalow home it has something for everyone. For great skiing or year round vacations, make sure you check out Stowe mountain resort in Vermont!
