Vermont bed & breakfast Inns

I hope everyone is enjoying the memorial day weekend! Me, I’ve got so much work to do I’m not sure if I will be able to relax or not. Anyway I thought I would write today about Vermont’s bed & breakfast Inns. Bed & breakfast Inns are very popular with tourist here in Vermont. They have a charm you just can’t find in a hotel.
In fact one of the most popular searches for bed & breakfast on the net is southern Vermont bed & breakfast. I’m not sure why, as the northern part has the most famous Inns. Anyways I’ll explain a little about just what a bed & breakfast Inn is. They really are the same as that one on the old Bob Newhart show, that was about a couple who ran a Vermont bed & breakfast.
Most bed & breakfast Inns are close to a popular resort town, like Stowe, Killington and others. They are open year round, so they get tourist for the skiing season, fall foliage season and the summer season. Vermont bike tours often use bed & breakfast Inns for overnight stays. Because Vermont is sparsely populated there are not many hotels outside of the bigger cities. So, bed & breakfast Inns are the answer.
Most Vermont bed & breakfast Inns only have around 5 to 10 guest rooms. Because of that you get much more personalized service. The people that run them have a love of the simple, country life and love to share stories and talk to their guest. They are very friendly and are your best source of information about anything you may be doing on your vacation in Vermont.
Most all Vermont bed & breakfast Inns serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. They use only the wholesome Vermont foods made right in the state. A breakfast of steaming hot pancakes or waffles with that pure Vermont maple syrup poured on top is a great way to start the day!
Or try a fruit dessert of Vermont blueberries and strawberries, drizzled with some of that Vermont maple syrup. They even cook some great baked beans and pork chops, all cooked with some Vermont maple syrup added for a great taste. Heck the meals at these bed & breakfast Inns may be the highlight of your whole trip!
The rooms are often very cozy, with four post master beds and a full bathroom of course. Some come with hot tubs or jacuzzi. In the general area they most often have big lounges to sit and relax, or watch TV on the big screens. A lot of bed & breakfast Inns also have pools and other outdoor amenities.
They also have gift shops, where you can find many unique items made in Vermont. You can pick up some pure Vermont maple syrup, candy or cream and have it shipped home if you want. So by now I am sure you get the idea of how nice and popular bed & breakfast Inns are. So, where are they and what do they cost?
Surprisingly for all the extra attention and service you get at a bed & breakfast Inn they cost about the same as hotels. Of course there is a wide range of prices, but you can get one for around $65.00 to $128.00 per night double occupancy. Of course the more extras you add the higher the price will be.
At some point I’m going to make my own bed & breakfast guide in here listing all the top Inns in Vermont. But for now the best way to find what Inn to stay in is this bed & breakfast Inn guide site. It breaks them down into northern Vermont, central Vermont and southern Vermont bed & breakfast Inns.
Bed & breakfast Inns at Stowe are very popular, often booked up for a bit. So try to plan ahead and book an Inn early. So book a Vermont bed & breakfast Inn, come on up, and sample plenty of that pure Vermont maple syrup!
