One place that does not get a lot of news coverage for snow skiing is Jay Peak resort in Vermont. Yet it has some really great downhill skiing, including some very fast black double diamond trails.

Powder skiing can be had easily if you know where to look. From a beginner to intermediate perspective the slopes are well-maintained, plentiful and challenging. It has excellent sheltered spots, so that no one endangers your life. For those with minimal skiing ability, this is the place to be.
