Jay Peak skiing resort in Vermont

One place that does not get a lot of news coverage for snow skiing is Jay Peak resort in Vermont. Yet it has some really great downhill skiing, including some very fast black double diamond trails.
Located near the Quebec border, Jay Peak Resort boasts natural snow totals that annually exceed those of most other popular eastern resorts. It has massive amounts of snowfall, spectacular trails and friendly people. Jay Peak is five stars all the way. Whether you enjoy traditional trails or glade skiing, you will find some unique features and fun times on a mountain that still has a mountain–not a resort–feel.
Jay also has an international vibe to it from all the French Canadians. Jay Peak is a great mountain with some of the best tree runs in the east. Powder skiing can be had easily if you know where to look. From a beginner to intermediate perspective the slopes are well-maintained, plentiful and challenging. It has excellent sheltered spots, so that no one endangers your life. For those with minimal skiing ability, this is the place to be.
The crowds are there but you don’t feel them since they get dispersed in the mountain. What makes this place so special is that it offers excellent beginner and intermediate terrain, intermediate glades and some turn around and hike back expert glades and kids only glades. All together they have 66 trails. Regardless of your terrain of choice, the 360 degree views from the summit are simply amazing.
If you love skiing, and don’t care about nightlife, go to Jay. You don’t even need to know where to look, as amazing glades lay around every corner. Even if you’re not an avid skier you’ll find a variety of beginner glades. Make the trip- it is definitely worth the time to go to Jay Peak ski resort in Vermont!
