I hope everyone is having a good holiday season, I’ve been really busy with everything. I just wanted to tell you all about the first night festival in downtown Burlington Vermont.
It’s a New Years eve party basically, with lots of events and shows going on. There will be many local artist and lots of food to eat! Call it a New Year’s Eve festival of the arts in downtown Burlington.
Besides live music, crafts and other artist there will be parades and fireworks at midnight. The first night shows are located all over downtown Burlington, Church Street Marketplace and the Burlington waterfront. (more…)
Now that fall is winding down, pretty soon it will be the start of Vermont skiing! This year it looks like it will start early as the weather seems to be getting colder earlier.
Vermont ski resorts are getting everything ready for a good season and each year they add more snow making equipment, trails and other things.
The major Vermont ski resorts have added lots of things. Of course the new Stowe Mountain Lodge has everything you could want and more. (more…)
Besides taking a lot of fall foliage pictures in Vermont this year, I managed to take some Vermont youtube videos also. One day during a sunny day this fall I took a ride up the gondola cars in Stowe.
The gondolas go up the side of Mount Mansfield, which is the highest peak in Vermont. Once you get up there you can hike, enjoy the view or eat inside the Cliff House restaurant.
Of course in the winter skiers use the gondola cars to get up there and do some nice skiing. Right across the road is the Stowe Mountain Lodge. The gondolas go right to the lodge during the winter. (more…)
Well everyone, I finally made my Vermont fall foliage picture gallery page! It’s got 40 of my best fall foliage pictures I took of this year, 2010. Most are from up in Stowe, Vermont.
I went up the gondola ride and took some nice pictures and videos up there. I also have some of a roadside stand selling all those pumpkins and other fall harvest produce.

With the fall foliage season underway, I thought I’d give you some information about one of the newest and best resorts in Stowe, Vermont. The Stowe Mountain Lodge Resort is one of the biggest resorts in Stowe, if not the whole state.
Fully completed only a short time ago, Stowe Mountain Lodge Resort boast 139 luxury guest rooms that include studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom suites. They also have fantastic private mountain cabins.
Located right on the Mountain road in Stowe, the ski lift comes right to the lodge. Step outside the side entrance of the lodge and you can hop on the ski lift only 50 feet away! The lift takes you right up Mount Mansfield, the highest peak in Vermont. (more…)
With October here, the New England fall foliage season has started! You can take some great Vermont fall foliage pictures from now until around the end of the month.
Many people take a Vermont fall foliage pictures taking vacation, doing a lot of leaf peeping and sight seeing. It’s the most beautiful of all seasons up here, and the Vermont hotels will be packed.
New England fall foliage takes in several states, and Vermont is right in the middle of them. When the leaves turn depends on the elevation and how far north you are. (more…)
Vermont holds their Oktoberfest events a bit earlier than other places, due to how fast the fall comes and goes up here! This past weekend was already the big Stowe Oktoberfest events, which I forgot about, sorry.

Fall is the most beautiful time to visit Vermont, and it’s even better if you stay at a Vermont Inn. But lets talk a moment about what a real Vt Inn is and what you should expect from one.
Just what is a Vermont Inn, or any Inn for that matter? It’s actually an old term that was used to describe anyplace that had a room for rent for the night or longer. Just like we now call “pubs” bars.
In fact in the old days most country pubs had a few rooms upstairs they would rent out. So they called them Inns; a place to drink, get a meal and a room for the night or two. (more…)
Wow, it’s been a long time since I wrote anything on here! The summer has gone by too fast as always and soon it will be Labor Day weekend here in Vermont. That means the end of summer, the start of school and getting ready for fall.
There is not a whole lot of things going on for Labor Day weekend here in Vermont. I know in Northfield Vermont there is a 3 day event with lots of food, music and games going on.
Burlington, Vermont always has a few special events here and there, plus many stores have Labor Day weekend sales. There’s always plenty of flea markets and farmers markets having one last sale also. (more…)
