It all started in 1969, when an old building in the small town of Stowe, Vermont was transformed into a saloon. A few years later, it became a tavern, and in the eighties, it was turned into a disco.
In 1986, a new owner took over and changed the name of the establishment to “The Rusty Nail,” and in 1991, it was moved to its present location. In 1994, the building was destroyed by an electrical fire but rebuilt to be bigger and better.
It reopened in 1996 and was purchased by new owners in 2004. Today, The Rusty Nail is one of the most popular night spots in the area, with locals and tourists alike.

Located in Stowe, Vermont, the Timberholm Inn is a cozy bed and breakfast that takes you back to yesteryear. Built in 1949, the nine-room inn began as a ski lodge.
In fact, it was one of the first in the area. It features traditional New England architecture, décor, and furnishings, with pine floors and ceilings, a massive fieldstone fireplace, overstuffed chairs and couches, porch rockers, and handmade beds.

Once again it’s time for another great recipe that uses pure Vermont maple syrup! This one is Maple pecan pie, and boy is it good!
Maple pecan pie
This is a real all-American recipe – sort of a North-meets-South dessert. It requires pure Vermont maple syrup, along with pecans from Georgia or some other Southern state. This scrumptious treat is sure to have you saying, “God bless the USA!” after just one bite.
This pie is a favorite at Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any time you want a special treat. You’ll find that the maple syrup and pecans are a great taste combination, as each seems to enhance the taste of the other. This is a very rich dessert, so a small slice is usually sufficient.

Jay Peak is an awesome ski resort and year-round playground located in Jay, Vermont, near the Canadian border. Depending on the season, visitors to the resort can enjoy snow skiing, ice skating, golfing, and snowshoeing. A water park is scheduled to open soon, also. Breathtaking scenery and luxurious accommodations await you!
Skiing is the main event at the resort. The Jay Peak mountain has two peaks, more than fifty miles of skiable terrain, and more than 385 skiable acres. In all, there are 76 trails, chutes, and glades, with three levels of difficulty.
One-fifth of the trails are for novices, two-fifths are intermediate, and the remaining two-fifths are advanced. Lifts, quads, an aerial tram, and a moving carpet transport guests quickly and efficiently.
